The Washington Redskins suffered another casualty before training camp started: their field goalposts. A powerful storm swept through the Richmond area Tuesday night, damaging the field goalposts at their training camp facility.

Strong winds and lightning combined to damage the goalposts - the left upright on one broke near the cross bar and was bent to the inside. The Redskins tweeted photos of the goalposts. They later tweeted a photo of the upright being repaired, though it's possible a new one could be brought in.

The Redskins report to training camp Wednesday with the first practice Thursday. They'll have a morning walk-through followed by a full workout in the afternoon. The Redskins weren't the only ones in Richmond to suffer damage from the storm. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, more than 7,000 Dominion Virginia Power customers lost power.

Earlier this week, the Redskins learned that outside linebacker Junior Galette was out for the season thanks to a torn Achilles -- a casualty that will have a big impact on their pass rush.
