Twitter users may get some more room to tweet what's on their mind - the social media site might get rid of its 140-character limit.

Technology news service Re/code reports that Twitter is working on a product that would allow users to share longer content. It may also modify the way the 140-character limit is measured.

For example, links and user handles may no longer count against the limit.

Twitter declined comment on the report.
