CHICAGO (WLS) -- Service was temporarily suspended on the Brown Line Thursday after a vehicle was struck at Rockwell.

The Rockwell station and tracks are at ground level. Authorities say the car went around the gates.

Service resumed around 3:45 p.m.

Three people refused treatment at the scene, the Chicago Fire Department said. The engineer of the train that clipped the car is being transported to Swedish Covenant Hospital in good condition as a precaution.
