Motorcycle rider killed in crash ID'd, Morton Grove police say

MORTON GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- A 31-year-old man has been identified as the motorcycle rider killed in a crash, Morton Grove police said.

The crash happened on Saturday at about 8 p.m. near of Oakton Street and First Avenue, police said.

The man killed in the crash was identified as Daniel Nikov, 31 of Des Plaines by police.

Police said Nikov was riding a motorcycle westbound on Oakton Street when a Jeep SUV turned left onto eastbound Oakton.

A 19-year-old of Carpentersville was driving the Jeep. He was taken to an area hospital for minor injuries.

Nikov was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he died, police said.

No other information regarding the crash was available.
