Charges pending against driver in wrong-way crash
Charges are pending against the driver in a wrong-way crash on the Ohio Street feeder ramp, state police said.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Charges are pending against the driver of a small SUV involved in a wrong-way crash Ohio Street feeder ramp that injured three people, Illinois State Police said.

State troopers responded to the crash shortly after receiving a call about a wrong-way driver around 2 a.m. Monday.

A SUV traveling out of the city slammed into a van on the ramp that feeds traffic from inbound I-90 into downtown Chicago, state police said.

Three people suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Two were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and one was taken to Illinois Masonic. Their gender and ages have not yet been released. Authorities are waiting to speak with the victims at both hospitals.

The Ohio Street feeder ramp was temporarily closed overnight as crews cleared the scene. The ramp re-opened before 4:30 a.m. Monday.

Police have not released any information about the driver or what led up to the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
