VIDEO: Pilots fired for pictures with Playboy model
Two pilots for an airline in Argentina have been fired. The airline was not happy about their selfies in the cockpit with a Playboy model mid-flight.

Two airline pilots were fired for inviting a model into the cockpit to snap selfies and guide the plane's throttle.

An actress-model in the cockpit of a commuter jetliner as it taxis to the runway in Argentina asked if she can help increase the speed. She put her hand on the throttle as the pilots put on the power for takeoff, followed by a squeal from the model as they get airborne. She then took selfies with the pilots with their backs to the controls.

"She should have never been in the cockpit in the first place, stupid to be taking selfies. You don't want your taxi driver texting while you're driving, so you don't want your airline pilot taking selfies while you're airborne," said Steve Ganyard, ABC News aviation consultant.

The next day, the pilots were fired from the Argentinian airline. The model was banned for five years from the airline.

The FAA in the U.S. has strict rules about cockpit behavior.

"The level of professionalism in U.S. pilots is so far beyond this," Ganyard said. "It's highly unlikely that something like this would happen in the U.S."
