CHICAGO (WLS) -- While there wasn't any real accumulation, lake-effect snow showers reduced visibility and made for some treacherous travel conditions across the Chicago area on Tuesday.
The persistent snow showers have ended and will be followed by falling temperatures, ABC7 Meteorologist Jerry Taft said. On Tuesday night, the lows will hover around 0 with wind chills pushing the feel like temperature below 0.
"But after that, it gets a lot better," Taft said. A warm front is moving in our direction and is expected to arrive in time for the weekend.
Temperatures are expected to reach 30 on Thursday and Friday, and many areas may see 40 degrees on Saturday.
