Woman's body found in South Loop

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police launched a death investigation Monday morning after a woman's body was found behind a building in the South Loop.

The body was discovered outside, near the railroad tracks in the 1600-block of South Prairie Avenue, police said.

Neighbors said police were on the scene just before noon Monday.

Police have not released further details. ABC7 Eyewitness News will update this story as more details are made available.
