A Flash Flood Warning and Flood Advisory were in effect for some western and southern counties in the Chicago area, including Cook County, but they have since expired.
Rain showers broke out Thursday afternoon and continued into the night.

Some heavier downpours were expected produce strong gusty winds between 6 p.m. and midnight.
Parts of the Chicago area south of the city were under a Level 1 risk of severe weather. Winds of over 60 mph were possible.
There was a small tornado threat in Southern Illinois.
Temperatures have warmed into the 50s, and will continue to stay in the 50s through midnight.
Temperatures will drop into the 40s by daybreak Friday.
