ABC7 Accuweather Meteorologist Tracy Butler said there is an isolated threat mainly for northern Indiana and far southern parts of the Chicago area.
The Storm Prediction Center has the city under a Level 1 Risk for storms, with Northwest Indiana and southern parts of the Chicago area including Kankakee County under a Level 2 Risk for severe storms.
Butler said storms will primarily be east of a line from Valparaiso to Kankakee and much of the area may be completely dry.
