A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued for DeKalb, Grundy, Kankakee, Kendall, LaSalle, Lee, Livingston, Will counties until 1 p.m.
While the new risk is not as high as Tuesday's, meteorologist Tracy Butler says the area should not let their guard down.
Most of the Chicago area is under a Level 1 risk for severe weather. However, the south and southwest suburbs are under a Level 2.
The timing for the storms is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Strong winds will be the main threat, again.
