  • March 1, 2004: Kathleen Savio found dead in a bathtub. The death was originally ruled an accidental drowning.
  • October 29, 2007: Stacy Peterson reported missing.
  • November 10, 2007: Drew Peterson named a suspect in Stacey's disappearance. State police reopened the investigation into Savio's death.
  • November 12, 2007: Drew Peterson submits letter expressing intent to resign from Bolingbrook Police Department.
  • November 13, 2007: Savio's body exhumed and an autopsy conducted.
  • November 15, 2007: Police pension board grants Drew Peterson his full pension, $6,000 a month.
  • November 26, 2007: FBI investigators join search for Stacy Peterson.
  • December 13, 2007: Drew Peterson's son testifies before Will County special grand jury regarding Stacy Peterson's disapperance.
  • February 21, 2008: Savio's death officially ruled a homicide.
  • April 10, 2008: Drew Peterson appears on CNN's "Larry King Live" to "clear things up" for the public.
  • April 29, 2008: Drew Peterson offers $25,000 reward for information that leads to the safe return of Stacy.
  • December 17, 2008: Drew Peterson's publicist tells ABC7 Peterson is engaged to be married to a fifth wife.
  • April 21, 2009: Relatives representing Savio's estate filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Peterson.
  • May 7, 2009: Drew Peterson arrested after being indicted on first degree murder charges.
