CHICAGO (WLS) -- Hundreds of people are ready to run during the Austin P.O.W.E.R. of Life 5K race on Saturday, September 24, 2016. Now in its second year, the free family event features a fun run through the community, and a marketplace festival full of food, music, and activities. The Austin P.O.W.E.R (People Organizing Wealth & Economic Resources) group hopes the event promotes businesses, people, and organizations within the community. Malcolm Crawford, Executive Director from the Austin African American Business Networking Association, and Jazz Saxophonist D-Erania Stampley joined ABC 7 live from the race to talk about all of the fun.
