HOBOKEN, New Jersey -- After receiving numerous reports of a baby left inside of a locked vehicle alone, EMTs in Hoboken, New Jersey broke the driver's side window of the car to rescue the apparently lifeless looking child.

After gaining entry to the car they discovered there was a reason the baby is the car seat was lifeless.

That's because it is a doll named Todd. It belongs to the granddaughter of the owner of the car.

Todd was okay besides getting some glass shards in its plastic skin.

Police are very serious about dealing with rescuing children left alone in cars. There have been numerous deaths this summer.

So while this may been amusing, cops are not taking chances but some say a closer look could have saved the vehicle's owner the stress of getting the window repaired.
