Radio reporter Craig Lynch

CHICAGO (WLS) -- In the 1980s, Craig Lynch hosted a small radio show when he asked for a day pass to interview a few Chicago Cubs players.

Shortly afterward, that credential became permanent, just like his seat in the Cubs press box for the last 30 years.

"It's such a wonderful thing to be here, especially when the press box windows are open in the summer and you can experience the noise and the crowd," Lynch said.

Lynch was born 100 percent blind, but that has never stopped him from being around the game he loves.

"I love baseball. My late wife said to me, 'People think you just like the Cubs, but you like every game," Lynch said.

Do listeners know he's blind?

"I try not to let them know. I don't want them to know necessarily," he said.
