Woman shot, killed inside Near West Side home, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman was shot and killed on the city's West Side, according to Chicago police.

The shooting happened just after midnight in the 2100-Block of W. Jackson Boulevard on Sunday, police said.

Police said a 42-year-oldwoman was found unresponsive inside a home residence with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

She was rushed to Stroger Hospital, where she was later died.

No other information was available. Chicago police are investigating the deadly shooting.
