Chicago's Buckingham Fountain opens

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago's iconic Buckingham Fountain opened Saturday, marking its 87th season.

Char'Nese Turner, a senior at Kenwood Academy and recipient of the Chicago Park District Junior Citizen Award, turned on the fountain at 9 a.m.

The fountain operates daily from 8 a.m.-11 p.m. through the fall, weather permitting.
