Search for Elmhurst bank robbery suspect ends

HILLSIDE, Ill. (WLS) -- The manhunt for a suburban bank robbery suspect is over.

Sources say Christopher Stephen, a convicted felon, shot and killed himself outside Proviso West High School in Hillside.

Investigators say Stephen is the man seen on surveillance video robbing the Inland Bank in suburban Elmhurst Wednesday. He was also suspected of robbing a bank in Lombard on Monday.
