Six Flags announces new roller coaster: The Joker

Six Flags Great America announced Thursday plans for a new ride called, "The Joker."

The new roller coaster will lift riders up 12 stories along a 90 degree lift, a spokesperson said. Then the thrill begins.

Riders will flip head-over-heels at least six times along the weightless journey.

The park closest to Chicago is located in north suburban Gurnee.
