CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Reverend Jesse Jackson is calling for a federal grand jury to be convened in the Michael Brown shooting case in Ferguson, Missouri.

"The government must act now, we can no longer delay, time is ticking away," he said.

Jackson took part in a peaceful protest Saturday, lying in the street outside the national headquarters of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition.

The reverend wants civil rights charges to be filed.
