CHICAGO (WLS) -- It's estimated that more than 25,000 people in Chicago are living with HIV or AIDS.

One organization working to improve the quality of life for those people is The AIDS Foundation of Chicago.

Next Sunday, the Foundation will host its annual AIDS Run & Walk Chicago at Soldier Field.

The mission: to raise awareness and money. Those funds will go to 32 community organization across the Chicago area.

Senior Vice President of Programs for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago Simone Koehlinger and Lauryn Scott, an ambassador for the organization, talked about the Walk & Run, as well as the people living with HIV/AIDS here in Illinois.
