Lake County sheriff's deputy charged in hit-and-run crash

GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- Charges have been filed at the Lake County prosecutor's office Tuesday in a hit-and-run crash involving a Lake County sheriff's deputy Sunday.

Guy Mikulich faces four felony and 10 misdemeanor charges, including leaving the scene of a personal injury crash while intoxicated.

Investigators said Mikulich, a 16-year veteran of the department, struck a man who had been watching the Air Show in Gary, Ind.

Prosecutors said Mikulich had just been working the show and had a blood alcohol level of 0.15.

The victim has been released from the hospital and is resting.
