16-year-old boy shot, critically injured outside South Side CPD station

A 16-year-old boy was shot and critically injured Saturday evening on the city's South Side, Chicago police said.

The shooting happened around 7:04 p.m. outside of a CPD station in the 7000 block of South Cottage Grove.

Three men shot, one fatally, in West Garfield Park: police

Three men were shot, one fatally, on the city's West Side on Friday night, Chicago police said.

Officers responded to the West Garfield Park neighborhood's 3800-block of West Monroe Street just after 11 p.m.

Responding officers found an unresponsive 28-year-old who had suffered gunshot wounds to his body, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Officers later discovered that two other people were injured in the shooting.

A 32-year-old, shot in the arm, took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.

Another 32-year-old. shot in the leg, took himself to Rush Hospital in good condition.

What led up to the shooting was not immediately clear.

Area Four detectives are investigating.

Police did not immediately provide further information.

Drive-by shooter kills two men, critically injures woman outside of West Englewood home: police

A drive-by shooter killed two men and critically injured a woman outside of their South Side home early Saturday, Chicago police said.

Police said a 26-year-old woman, a 30-year-old man, and a 31-year-old man were standing in the West Englewood neighborhood's 6500-block of South Hermitage Avenue just after 12:45 a.m.

That's when a white SUV pulled up, and a male suspect inside fired shots, police said.

The 30-year-old man was shot in the head, and the 31-year-old man was shot in the chest, police said. Both were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.

The woman, shot in the body, was taken to the same hospital in critical condition.

Police said the SUV's driver fled northbound on Hermitage Avenue.

Area One Detectives are investigating.
