
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three men were shot, one fatally, on the city's West Side on Friday night, Chicago police said.
Officers responded to the West Garfield Park neighborhood's 3800-block of West Monroe Street just after 11 p.m.
Responding officers found an unresponsive 28-year-old who had suffered gunshot wounds to his body, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office later identified him as Jacquell M. Phillips.
Officers later discovered that two other people were injured in the shooting.
A 32-year-old, shot in the arm, took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.
Another 32-year-old. shot in the leg, took himself to Rush Hospital in good condition.
What led up to the shooting was not immediately clear.
Area Four detectives are investigating.
Police did not immediately provide further information.
