ANAHEIM, Calif. -- From newly announced movies to rides and lands under construction at Disney parks around the world, we brought you all the live updates from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

This gathering of official Disney fan club members took place at the Anaheim Convention Center and Honda Center in Anaheim, California from Aug. 14 through Aug. 16.

The Honda Center was home to the Disney Entertainment Showcase Friday night, the Disney Experiences Showcase Saturday night and the Disney Legends Award Ceremony Sunday afternoon.

'Incredibles 3' and 'Coco 2' announced at D23

Pete Docter, chief creative officer of Pixar Animation Studios, celebrated its 40th anniversary at the Disney Entertainment Showcase with some big announcements.

Rounding out the film's trilogy, "Incredibles 3" will be released in Summer 2028.

Docter said in this film, the kids will take the spotlight, with Violet and Dash Parr determined to step out on their own.

Later on, Docter announced that "Coco 2" will return to the land of the dead in November 2029, picking up just a few short years after the original film.

Benjamin Bratt took the stage to share that he'll reprise his role as the voice of Ernesto de la Cruz.

"Coco holds a truly special place in my heart," he said.

First look at 'The New Simpsons Movie' shown at D23

Dana Walden, the president and chief creative officer of the Walt Disney Company, gave Springfield fans a sneak peek at "The New Simpsons Movie."

"What you're going to see is very rough," she said, "We normally wouldn't show you something this early, but Bart insisted."

The teaser showed Homer and friends at a baseball game, where they're later spotted going after a runaway ball. The chase continues through Moe's Tavern, the Duff Brewery and more. And, as expected, hilarity ensues.

The film will released September 2027.

Anne Hathaway says they're working hard on 'Princess Diaries 3'

"Me? A princess? Shut up!"

Anne Hathaway, who will be honored during the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony on Sunday, took the stage at the Disney Entertainment Showcase.

She announced they're working hard on "The Princess Diaries 3" and shared her thanks to fans.

"Please never stop reciting your favorite lines to me, because I still can't spell Gabbana," she said. "And I have come to love being told to shut up."

Josh D'Amaro talks about love for Disney in first D23 as CEO

Josh D'Amaro talked about his love of Disney during his first D23 as CEO of The Walt Disney Company.

Leading into a personal story about a family trip to Walt Disney World, he said, "I believe that in order to lead the company, you have to know what it feels like to be a fan. And I do."

D'Amaro told the crowd that the company makes "the world more hopeful, more magical than it ever could be."

The Disney veteran became CEO in March 2026. The previous CEO, Bob Iger, will be honored as a Disney Legend during the award ceremony on Sunday.
