'He was for all the people' Mourners line up at Rev. Jackson visitation
Inside Rev. Jesse Jackson's visitation, the late reverend's children, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, former Congressman Bobby Rush and the Reverend Al Sharpton are all in a receiving line greeting the public inside.
While tributes honoring his legacy continue to pour in from around the world, everyday people flocked to Rainbow PUSH Coalition Headquarters to pay their respects and honor Jackson's legacy of civil rights, social justice and diplomacy around the world.
"He was like family," Mary Johnson said. "He does so much for the community and everyone and it was like losing Martin Luther King all over again, so to speak. He was for all the people."
"Jesse Jackson done what he done and he fought his fight and basically it's an honor to me to be a part of his homecoming celebration, just to be a part of history," Marcus Jones said.
