CHICAGO (WLS) -- There will be a Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan reunion in Chicago on Thursday.

The Republican Party's unsuccessful 2012 presidential ticket will make a rare joint appearance Thursday evening at the Union League Club of Chicago.

Organizers say is the first time the two have appeared in public together since the election.

Romney will interview Ryan about his new book, "The Way Forward: Renewing the American Idea."
