Vigil held for Chicago mother fatally shot on S. Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Family and friends gathered on the South Side Sunday evening to hold a vigil for a Chicago mother who was shot and killed.

Heart-shaped balloons were released into the air in memory of 37-year-old Summer Moore.

Police say the mother of three was shot this weekend near 114th and Aberdeen in the Morgan Park neighborhood.

She was reportedly sending a cousin off to prom when it happened.

Police say Moore was not the intended target.
