Newcity development opens in city's North Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Newcity, a place described as a neighborhood within a neighborhood, is now open for business in the city's North Side.

The development, located at Clybourn and Halsted, is home to stores, restaurants, a bowling alley and residential units.

Students from the British International School sang at Friday's big opening, and there will be entertainment throughout the weekend.
