CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating a fire that spread from one garage to another on the Southwest Side, one day after fire gutted six garages just a few blocks south.
The most recent fire broke out around 5 a.m. Wednesday in the 3500-block of West 57th Place in Chicago's Gage Park neighborhood. Fire officials said the blaze spread from one garage to another.
Six other garages burned about 1.5 miles south in the city's Marquette Park neighborhood early Tuesday morning, in the 3400-block of West 64th Place and in the 3500-block of West 65th Place.
Neighbors in Marquette Park said they saw people running from the area around West 64th Place and South Homan Avenue.
No one was injured in either set of fires. Investigators are looking into the cause of each incident.
