Man found fatally shot in Ashburn kitchen identified

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 32-year-old man found shot to death on his kitchen floor on Chicago's Southwest Side was identified Wednesday morning.

The victim was identified to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Arian J. Smith, of the 3800-block of West 84th Place in the city's Ashburn neighborhood.

Smith's body was discovered around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. He had been shot in the head.

Police are investigating his death as a homicide. No one is in custody.
