Woman ejected from car during crash in Hoffman Estates

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (WLS) -- A woman was ejected from her car in a crash early Wednesday morning in the northwest suburbs.

It happened around 6 a.m. and shut down Golf Road just west of Route 59 in Hoffman Estates, police said. The force of the impact nearly split the car in two.

The driver, a 47-year-old Streamwood woman, remains hospitalized.
