One of the responsibilities that comes with being a pet owner is making sure your animal doesn't get into or eat anything they shouldn't. Sometimes you could lose a valuable family heirloom to a dog's hunger, or a dozen socks to a cat's appetite curiosity.

Recently a Great Dane went through surgery and had nearly 45 socks removed from its stomach.

This image from DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital shows 43 socks that a Great Dane consumed and had to have surgically removed.
