Officials have identified the 44-year-old woman killed in a Wood Dale fire.
The three victims were kidnapped then "beaten repeatedly, burned with a hot metal object and restrained throughout the evening," police said.
Police said there had been a recent funeral among the family who live in the home, and that it's a highly emotional time for them.
Wood Dale police and SWAT teams are at the scene of a barricade situation Tuesday night.
"If the merger goes through as proposed, it will break the railroad system," Bensenville Village Manager Evan Summers said.
Fire and police chiefs have said the longer freight trains could also make it difficult for them to respond to emergencies while they wait to cross the tracks.
