1 hospitalized after dramatic crash leaves SUV flipped on its side in Austin construction site: CFD

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A dramatic crash on Chicago's West Side left an SUV flipped on its side inside a construction site.

It happened in the Austin neighborhood earlier Tuesday. Video shows the vehicle resting on a wooden surface above a trench near South Kilpatrick Avenue and West Jackson Boulevard.

Fire officials confirmed that one person was hospitalized. Their condition was not immediately known.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
