
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating an armed sexual assault on the North Side over the weekend.
Police sources told ABC7 both the girl who was assaulted and her friend are just 15 years old.
Chicago police said the female victim was walking with another girl in the 2900-block of West Wilson Avenue in Ravenswood Manor just before 9:20 p.m. Friday when realized they were being followed. Then, two men reportedly began chasing them and apprehended both of them.
One of the men allegedly held one girl with a knife, while the other suspect pulled out a gun and sexually assaulted the victim in an alley, CPD.
Police are searching for those two suspects.

One suspect was described as 5-feet, 10-inches to 6-feet tall, weighing 170 to 200 pounds and wearing a Nike jacket, black pants and dark sneakers.

The other was described as 5-feet, 5-inches to 5-feet, 7-inches tall, weighing 135 to 150 pounds, wearing a Nike jacket, dark pants and sneakers.

Residents told ABC7 the neighborhood has been shaken by news of the attack, especially with so many families with teenagers in the area.
Detectives were still knocking on doors Sunday as they continue to collect surveillance video from Friday night.
Alderperson Rosana Rodriguez-Sanchez told ABC7 patrols in the neighborhood have been increased as police continue their search.
