19-year-old on motorcycle killed in Beach Park hit-and-run, sheriff says

BEACH PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- A 19-year-old was killed in hit-and-run crash on Sunday morning, the Lake County Sheriff's Office said.

The crash happened at about 5:50 a.m. at the intersection of Green Bay Road and Sallmon Avenue in Beach Park, sheriff said.

Sheriff's deputies said they found a19-year-old near a motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider died at the scene, officials said.

The sheriff said the Kawasaki sports bike was riding had damage consistent with being struck by another vehicle.

Nobody is in custody.

No other information regarding the crash was available.
