Miss Diaspora Nigeria USA returns to spotlight diversity and foster unity

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A pageant highlighting the beauty and achievements of Nigerian women in the United States is returning later this month.

Contestants will walk the stage Aug. 31 for the 2025 Miss Diaspora Nigeria USA pageant.

The celebration aims to showcase the diversity of Nigerian traditions, fashion, music, and cuisine. The hope is to empower women who are often overlooked and foster unity between other cultures.

The event will take place at located at 401 North Lake Street in Northlake. The ceremony is from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
