ABC7 Price Tracker now includes average prices for flights in, out of Chicago

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The ABC7 Chicago Price Tracker now includes average prices for flights in and out of Chicago, including at Midway and O'Hare.

From there, you can search to find historical average costs of flights between two places.

For example, it's possible to see the average cost of a one-way flight between O'Hare and JFK in New York City. From April through June 2025, the route cost about $200 on average.

However, one-way flights to and from LaGuardia were a little more expensive, at around $225. And one-way flights to and from Newark airport were the highest at an average of $240.

While the tool won't tell flyers what airfare prices look like today, it can give a sense of the price over time to see if favorite destinations are getting more or less expensive.

For example, a flight from O'Hare to JFK is about 17 percent cheaper than it was in 2015, after adjusting for inflation.

The numbers will update every few months. So keep checking to see the latest trends.
