Motorcyclist critically injured after crashing into pickup truck in Bartlett, police say

BARTLETT, Ill. (WLS) -- A motorcyclist was critically injured after they collided with a pickup truck in the northwest suburbs, police said.

The crash happened Wednesday afternoon at the corner of Lake Street and Naperville Road in Bartlett.

There was a pickup truck at the scene that had backend damage. A motorcycle was seen fallen over in the middle of the intersection.

Bartlett police said a motorcyclist was traveling on Lake Street when it crashed into the back of a pickup truck that was turning north on Naperville Road

The motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

Roads in the area were closed for three hours as police investigated, but have since reopened.
