2 shot, 1 fatally, outside Bridgeview bar and pool hall, police say

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (WLS) -- Two people were shot, one fatally, outside of a south suburban bar and pool hall early Saturday morning, officials said.

Bridgeview police said the shooting happened near Que Ball Billiards & Bar at 7735 South Harlem Avenue around 2:30 a.m.

Two males were shot, police said. One victim died from his injuries and the other, whose age was not known, was in stable condition at Christ Hospital.

The man who died was later identified as 31-year-old Juan Rendon of Oak Lawn by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

One of the victims had been inside the pool hall before the shooting happened, police confirmed.

Authorities did not immediately say whether anyone was in custody.

Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
