
BURBANK, Ill. (WLS) -- A three-car crash sent two people to a hospital and closed a road in south suburban Burbank Monday afternoon, police said.
The crash, which happened just after 3 p.m., closed 79th Street from Laramie Avenue to Leclaire Avenue, police said.
Chopper 7 was over the scene just after 4:15 p.m.
One vehicle had hit a home in the area. Another was on the sidewalk and a third was in a nearby gas station parking lot.
Two people were transported to a local hospital in unknown conditions, police said.

The public was asked to avoid the area, use caution and consider alternate routes.
The Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team and the Burbank Police Department are investigating.
