Public urged to avoid area near lounge amid large police presence in Carpentersville

CARPENTERSVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- The public is urged to avoid the area near Route 25 and Kings Road in Carpentersville, police said Saturday morning.

Video shows a large police presence near a lounge in the area.

Police have not released details but said there was no active threat to the community.

Video shows shattered glass and even some gunshot holes in the walls of the establishment.

Police blocked off the area with yellow crime scene tape.

It was not clear if anybody was injured.
