Lanes reopen after semi-trucks crash on I-80 in Grundy County, ISP says

GRUNDY COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) -- A crash involving two semi-trucks closed lanes on I-80 in Grundy County for hours on Monday.

The crash occurred in the westbound lanes of I-80 near Route 47.

One of the trucks went into a grassy area and part of the other truck ended up in the eastbound lanes of I-80.

Both drivers were transported to an area hospital with injuries, Illinois State Police said.

Traffic was being diverted off at Brisbin Road.

All lanes reopened by 1 p.m., ISP said.
