Driver killed in crash involving semi on I-94 on far South Side, ISP says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A driver was killed in a crash with a semi on I-94 on Sunday on Chicago's far South Side, Illinois State Police said.

ISP said the crash happened at about 1:05 a.m. on the southbound lanes of I-94 at 130th Street.

Video obtained by ABC7 shows a Nissan SUV with extensive damage.

Police said the driver of the Nissan was taken to an area hospital and died from serious injuries related to the crash.

The driver of the semi was also taken to an area hospital with injuries.

All lanes of I-94 reopened by 6:20 a.m., Illinois State Police said.
