
CHICAGO (WLS) -- One person was killed in a fiery crash near 63rd Street Beach Thursday night, Chicago police said.
The crash occurred at about 11:50 p.m. in the 6300-block of South Coast Guard Drive.
Police said a man was driving southbound when his vehicle struck the median head-on and the car caught fire.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and was the only occupant of the vehicle, police said.
Major Accident Detectives are investigating.
We're told the driver was the only person in the car.
