Crash impacts CTA bus services on South Side Wednesday

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A crash on the city's South Side impacted the CTA bus service on Wednesday morning.

The crash happened at about 12:14 a.m. Wednesday in the 6200-Block of S. State Street, Chicago police said.

A 36-year-old man was driving a Dodge ram northbound when it crashed into a Ford Focus, also heading northbound.

The 29-year-old man in the Ford then truck the concrete barriers.

Northbound #29 State buses were rerouted on Wednesday morning due to a crash, Chicago police and the CTA said.

Northbound #29 State buses were temporarily rerouted via State, 47th, Wentworth, 63rd and State, then resumed their normal route.

Southbound buses were not affected.

Chicago police said no injuries were reported. Charged and citations were pending.
