2 shot inside car on Chicago's South Side, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating a shooting on the city's South Side on Monday.

The shooting happened at about 2:39 a.m. in the 5500-block of S. Wentworth Avenue.

Two men were inside a vehicle heading westbound when someone started to shoot at them, police said.

A man, 28, was shot in the left calf. He was taken to an area hospital and is expected to be OK.

A 22-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and left leg. He was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Nobody is in custody.
