
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two men were shot, one fatally, Friday evening on the city's South Side, Chicago police said.
The shooting happened around 5:14 p.m. Friday at West 119th Street and South Michigan Avenue in West Pullman, CFD said.
A 29-year-old man was standing near a sidewalk when an offender in an SUV approached and shot him multiple times, police said. A 70-year-old man nearby was also hit by the gunfire.
The 29-year-old victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, officials said. His named has not yet been released.
The 70-year-old was shot in the leg and was taken to another hospital, where was was said to be stable, police said.
No further information was available as Chicago police continue to investigate.
