Dog stolen during vehicle burglary in West Ridge found safe, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A small dog that was stolen during a vehicle burglary this week on the city's North Side has been found safe, police told ABC7 Friday.

The crime happened around noon Wednesday in the 2100 block of West Peterson Avenue in West Ridge, Chicago police said.

A 10-year-old chihuahua/beagle mix was inside a vehicle parked in a parking lot when it was taken, CPD said.

CPD confirmed Friday that the dog was located safe.

No further information was available as Chicago police continue to investigate.
